It has been more than 13 years since I last visited Ipoh. The first trip was when I was 13 years old, our one and only family outstation trip.

This trip came to pass because of Chee Lim, my boyfriend wanted me to meet his parents for the first time (okay, sounds like I am getting used to the term boyfriend when I describe him). When I was asked who I should invite to come along, of course all my sheeps / ex-sheeps come to mind. Finally, Susan and Wan Tin decided to join us.

I was rather nervous, as I wasn’t sure what to say to them and all but I really thank God for the two of them because they will say the right thing at the right time. It all started with a heavy dim sum breakfast where his mother happily ordered a lot of food and they help me to finish most of it. We are a team, we eat as a team and we walk as a team.

We went to visit his aunty who is now in her final stage of cancer. We went to pray for her and told her that God is great and He can heal all our sicknesses. She was touched by our presence and we even invite a few Hope sisters to visit her on Sunday after the Service. Let’s continue to pray for her salvation as well.

God is so great. Due to the fact that we have limited time to spend with his family, I didn’t really get to talk to them. But on Sunday afternoon, I managed to speak to his mother. Just me, Chee Lim and his mother. I decided to pray for her before we leave and God really led me to pray in Mandarin. I do not know if I have made any impact in her life but I do pray that she will feel God’s love in us.

God has reminded me of the many things that I have forgotten over the years. He has given me so many giftings that I have not fully used for His glory. I have a clearer picture of what God wants me to do now but I still need to prepare myself. I do not really know how but like Isaiah said to God in Isaiah 6:8, “Here am I, send me”. I am ready to be used by You, Lord.

If any of you have prayer needs, you can email them to me. I will be fasting meat this week mon to fri and I shall keep you prayers.

As this is a very difficult fast for a meat person like me, pray that God will give me strength see it through friday. All glory is to God. Amen.

Haha…yesterday i sms Rita and asked her if she free to do follow-up and she agreed. I am so touched by her servantheart as she doesnt mind doing follow-up on her birthday. Of course when i fetch her, i told her that the person to follow-up is herself lor.

The most blessed item for the night is that Rita blessed me with dinner in a Japanese restaurant near Hartamas. I am so blessed. Its her birthday but she belanja me.

Last month my sheep, Wan Tin also belanja me on her birthday.

Dont worry, the time will come when God will bless them double/triple or many more…

Everyone is invited to our unit steamboat fellowship this wed, 31 Jan 07. The objective of having this fellowship is to Welcome Year 2007 and some new comers from college group. At the same time, we would like to appreciate those who are moving on to another new unit in ministry starting in Feb 07.

1. Discovering True Love - The when, who and how question, how to receive God’s guidance, what to prepare, what can I expect of marriage, maximising my singlehood. (mainly for those who have not started a relationship and may not have intention to start in near future).

2. Looking for True Love - A match in heaven, what to look for in a life partner?, common pitfalls and how to avoid?, wisdom & rommance, purpose driven romance, how to make the first approach & who should make it? (this category is for those who are ready to start a relationship in near future, and may have someone in mind to approach)

3. More Than Friends but Less Than Lovers - how to grow in courtship?, communication, accountability & guidance from church & family, love & purity (also to deal with past sexual sin), before you say “I do” (This is obviously for those who are in relationship to know to grow and address some personal and sensitive issues in relationship)

The above seminar is open for members / regular visitors from 3 different centres. Appreciate you can confirm with me later today about your attendance, so that they can allocate the groups to the different venues in our church according to the confirmed no. I think as working adults and those who are not in relationship, you may opt to go for no. 2 to prepare yourself. For those who are in relationship, no.3 is suitable for you. Just a suggestion.

Though the attendance is not compulsory but I think it would be beneficial for everyone to prepare and know about the biblical perspective. Looking forward to hear from you soon.

Jude 14-16 speaks of grumblers and faultfinders… Let us not be one of those sinners who seem to follow their own evil desires, grumbling for the wrong reason or boasting about themselves or even flatter others for their own advantage! It was emphasized in Luke 6:38 that the same measurement will be used against us should we judge others.

Pray that God will continue to edify us, speaking the right thing at the right time and with the right motives.
