As we all know, our dear Bro George is leaving us to start his new position in HK from 1st of Dec 2008.

What a blessed 2008 church camp! The working adult groups from various locations in Malaysia came together to meet at Selesa Resort, Bukit Tinggi in Pahang from 30 Aug to 1 Sep. Our Pastor David Chen who is from our mother church flew all the way from Bangkok to Malaysia to bless us with a sharing of his wonderful experiences with God.The first day when we arrived at the resort, our senior Pastor Simon gave us an opening sharing focusing on continuous development in our life; covering aspects such as career, personal relationships, social life, resources, spiritual life and correct thoughts. The teaching guides us on how to be an all-rounder and be the head, not the tail in the society we are in. Subsequently, we had games to test our fitness and mind. At night, Pastor David shared the importance of having personal testimonies (Revelations 12:11). He termed the personal testimony as a ‘love story’. We were not only encouraged but also had our faith lifted to a new level on his ‘love story’ of how real is God in his life and how God helped him through the many difficult challenges he faces.

The next morning, Pastor David ran through with us the information in the booklet handout. He touched on the topics of God’s love and the building of God’s house. He mentioned that the love of God in us will cause us naturally to do God’s will and to serve Him. We also had a mind and eye-opening session called “He says and She says” which addressed the issues that working adults typically face; for example, career and life partner. We were welcomed to share our point of view too and from here we can understand the differences between a male and female’s thinking and how to resolve them. The spiritual atmosphere reached the climax on the final night after praise and worship. Pastor David shared and reminded us about knowing and fulfilling our vision. Later he made an altar call to ask everyone to respond in renewing our relationship with Jesus, forgiving others, and even challenged us to venture into mission fields. Many who were there responded and prayed in eagerness. God visited us and moved our hearts wonderfully. Spiritual breakthrough came about in us and we broke forth, praising God joyfully without any heaviness in our heart. Praise God!!! Amen. We were so in vigor, praising God that we don’t even feel any tiredness or sleepiness!

On the next day, Pastor David taught an interesting topic about discipleship process. This aided us to identify any rooms for improvement and address failures in certain sub-processes of discipleship. Finally, we ended with a closing ceremony and a group photo-taking session with everyone. Later, we went back to our separate destinations, of course with heavy hearts.

and the time is coming again for us to reflect upon the journey that has brought us this far. Do join us in reminiscing and celebrating the myriad colors of HOPE that has painted that journey. Even if you’re a newbie, take this chance to find out more about our church:)

During the practise time we enjoy ourselves, see alot of talent rising up such as Eddiey(our member from bostwana) the king of comedy. Once he speak or act, all of us laugh non stop. Also Wei Quan (my cg member) body movement is so attractive.. MUAHAHA

Also not forgetting people who work so hard behind the scene such as Vincent(another cg member), charlotte (another cg CL) etc etc.

I am truly enjoy the fellowship together while we are working together.

I trust and believe they will b a great harvest for this event

Dearest Brothers and Sisters in Hope Malaysia

It is Convention time again!

This year, 2008, we have the privilege to host the convention in Kuala Lumpur. We have managed to book a very prestigious place, the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC), located at the very heart of Putrajaya! This is where out Prime Minister met the world leaders for conferences, this is where we are going to meet with our Lord!

Besides the exceptional venue, we are looking forward to connect together again for some invaluable times of receiving God’s Word, to worship wholeheartedly and to unite as Hope Malaysia! We want to hear from god and move His vision forward.

Do not miss this convention, it will be full of memorials for your life. It will strengthen your vision and motivation to push forward. We want to be there for one another, to lead each other into His presence and be represented there! Come, let us prepare ourselves NOW!

Some put their hopes on men, some put theirs on their career, still, there are some who put their hopes upon “idols”, but we who are known as Christians put ours on Christ Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. We kick start our first bible conference this year with the grand title of “A Hope-filled Church”.

This 3 days event was done as usual with our 1st session which start on a Friday night and ended on a Sunday evening. What seems so usual, yet so amazing, is that, many still chose to come. So what makes bible conference so important? After all, we already receive our weekly teachings through Caregroup and Sunday Service. I believe the answer lies not on how much we have been taught, but how much we hunger for the Food of Life and how much we hunger to experience God in our lives. Don’t believe me? Here are some testimonies to inspire your soul.

Sister Abby* was having a financial problem. As she struggle through this ordeal, God spoke to her during this bible conference that He is going to provide for her. On 20 and 21 Febuary 2008, Hope PJ held a Healing Service conducted by brother Peter Troung from Hope Brisbane. Attendance was very good although it was still Chinese New Year and the 21st is actually ‘Chap Goh Meh’ or last day of Chinese New Year. Quite a big day of celebration. Despite that, it’s great to see so many came to attend seek healing and help pray for others.

The service started by Bro Peter sharing with us a very encouraging video of how god heal a deaf sister in Manila. Later he share with us a few points on how to receive and maintain God’s blessing. Next he minister and prophersy to those whom God has a word for them. Bro Peter also call for a special prayer for those who have God’s unfulfilled promises to them. It was great to see our God loves us and promise so many things to so many of us. Hallelujah.

Then Bro Peter lead us to pray for everyone who seek healing. We witness God’s power and love over us. As we pray, God heal a member of back pain and 2 other visitors of leg cramps and back pain. They both felt better and that God have relieve them of their pains. Hallelujah. We were all very encourage by what God has done in our midst.

All Glory to God for his miracle signs and wonders.

Woohoo….Hope PJ finally has it’s own Student Service and it was held right on the day before Easter!

Before the Easter Student Service commenced, we, the student groups, had put much effort and planning into this project to see to it that it will all work out well. As it is our first service, all those who were ministering on stage was also first timers.

Our night kicked start with sis Kimberly, who is our first time worship leader from the College Group, to lead us through a time of high praises with songs like “Jesus You Are So Good”, “Jesus is alive”, “Celebrate Jesus”, “Allah Bangkit” and “King of Majesty”. The entire sanctuary hall was filled with the Spirit of Joy as we all sang along and praised the Lord on High. As it goes, we did not forget to worship God with songs like “God so Loved” and “Amazing Love”. It was indeed incredible to see how God worked among His people. The musicians did not miss a single beat and the back up singers sang with angelic voices as they harmonized the songs.
